Data Center Commissioning
Data Environments recommends and supports the industry accepted 5 step commissioning process for Data Centers, using NETA testing standards. We can coordinate with the client to provide a third party commissioning agent or provide the commissioning documents with the client’s construction team to fully commission the Data Center.
Data Environments provides QA/QC support for Construction and start-up of Data Center projects. Detailed inspection reports help provide an efficient startup and lead to a timely Commissioning of the customer site.
Data Environments provides the expertise to document a Data Center Facility during the Commissioning process to document the electrical loads, mechanical loads and capacities as the commissioning loads are raised from 0% to 100% of the full design load. This data can be taken and provided to the client with 72 hours of the Commissioning, with recommendation based on the data taken. This is usually one of the few times a Data Center can be evaluated from 0% to 100% load, both on utility power and generator power with out risk to customer loads.
Data Environments provides on site commissioning coordination, pre-startup site inspections, startup coordination, Breaker testing witness and breaker setting per the coordination study, Torque verification, cable testing verification, installation verification to client standards, vendor support for startup and commissioning of equipment during levels 3, 4 and 5 of the commissioning process, owner’s representative witness during commissioning. We can coordinate the critical monitoring during the process, report evaluation from equipment vendors, and load documentation during commissioning. We provide significant experience in the commissioning Data Centers under “full design load” conditions, and performance to the design Sequence of Operations for Electrical, Mechanical, BMS, and Power Monitoring systems.
The Five levels are-
- Level 1- Submittal Review and Factory Testing
- Level 2- Site Inspection and Verification to Submittal
- Level 3- Installation Inspections and Verifications to Design Drawings
- Level 4- Component Testing to Design Loads
- Level 5- System Integration Tests at Full Design Loads
